Radwa gave a great presentation last night on bubbl.us, an online mind-mapping tool. Afterwards I had mentioned another package, called Inspiration, that works in a simliar way.
Inspiration is a concept-mapping tool that helps students organize their thoughts. Using a variety of visualization modes, Inspiration lets students lay out their ideas in the way that is most comfortable to them. When finished, the system allows students to turn their visual maps into text-based outlines that can be used as “jumping off” points for written papers and compositions.
Here’s an overview video of what Inspiration can do as well as some lesson plan ideas on how to use the software in your specific discipline.
Inspiration is not free, but the company that owns the produce offers 30 day trial versions of the software. Click here to download your own copy (works for both Macs and PCs)
