Here’s a brief overview of how to generate an “originality report” via the Plagiarism Prevention feature of SOCS.

  1. Visit http://socs.tcnj.edu
  2. Log in using your TCNJ username & password (or your guest account name if you have yet to receive your official TCNJ username/password)
  3. Select Fall 2009 and higher as your term
  4. Click the Academic Links button at the top of the screen
  5. Click on Plagiarism Prevention
  6. Click ‘Check Document’
  7. Upload a file from your computer and click Submit
  8. You should now see your file in the plagiarism prevention queue.  You can return to this page in about 5 minutes to obtain your originality report.
  9. Originality scores run from 0 to 100, where 0 (blue) is completely original content and 100 (red) is completely copied.
